📦 Inventory Management

19.09.2025 05:26

Comprehensive inventory management system is now available. Quick overview to understand the scale and what is possible:

  • Book for users
  • Issue to users
  • Accept returns directly to database from users, if the item is returnable
  • Track status of available stock at a glance
  • Mark items: used, new, lost, damaged
  • Transparent logs and history
  • Restock

Diving into details

Returnable items can be issued to users with full visibility and control, making it easy to see exactly who has which item at any given time. Each item is tracked at the instance level, ensuring clear oversight and detailed record-keeping.

When items are returned, their condition is recorded. If an item remains in near-new condition, it simply returns to stock. If it shows minor signs of use, comments can be added to mark it as second-hand, allowing it to remain available for future issuance.

I created the inventory system in such way that lost or damaged items are automatically reflected in the stock levels, giving an accurate picture of inventory status at all times.

The system also supports non-returnable items that do not require users to bring them back. In some cases it is important to keep track of such things, too. For finance or planning budgets.

Stock replenishment and reservation are included, providing flexibility in planning ahead. This is particularly valuable for events where equipment such as balls, flags, or uniforms must be distributed efficiently.

With this update, inventory management becomes a flexible tool that allows every item to be monitored, every condition to be recorded, and every stock level to remain transparent and up to date.
